The main picture shows the 800 years old Malaspina castle, Castello Podenzano. In the foreground, at the bottom of the image, sits Castellodue. Originally  4 servants houses with private entrances to the castle and integrated into the castle walls. These houses have now been totally reconstructed to form one large villa of 300 m2. six covered terraces and a covered roof pool. However many of the original features still remain and the reconstruction has been faithful to the architecture style of the original, due to this, it retains a period charm.



The house is designed to accommodate up to twelve people, but can be easily extended if required, to accommodate eighteen to twenty by decorating another room. At present there are five bedrooms, four double and one which can sleep up to six people. There  are three bathrooms one with tub, indoor and outdoor showers



In the cantina, 18 people can dine around a 4.20 m long oak table. There is a  wine cellar, out door kitchen and out door stone and iron furniture. There is also a winter garden. There are two open fireplaces.



Two of the terraces are roof covered and enjoy 270 degrees panoramic views of Aulla, La Spezia, the Apennines and the Apuane (Majestetic Carrara Mountains) and to the sea and Portovenere.



Land

The property .has 3,000 m2 of land including a big terraced garden. Notes for total privacy, behind a main gate.
