Local amenities include golf courses, lake fishing, walking excellent local foods and wines health spas at Salsomaggiore, Tabiano and Monticelli. There are numerous good local trattorias and restaurants and market towns. Local attractions include mediaeval castles, opera at Verdi's birthplace of Busseto and the Ferrari museum in Modena. If you like sports, the place is wonderful for biking, trekking, running, golf courses and horse riding. 


You can shop in stylish Parma, and take in the ancient cathedral and the pink marble of the baptistery. Parma offers regular music concerts and opera. Real opera lovers should try the open air Arena at Verona, La Scala in Milan, or Giuseppe Verdi's birthplace of Busseto. Violin fans can go Stradivarius birthplace in Cremona. 


Medieval castles can be found in Castel d'Arquato, Bardi, Fontanellato, Rossi, Vigoleno and many more like Torrechiara, Felino, Rossena.
