Although in the heart of the Apennines, the historic city of Bologna, renowned for its culture and cuisine, is only 45 km. by road and the nearest rail link is only 15 minutes away.  Bologna International Airport Guglielmo Marconi is also easily reached in 45 minutes. The cities of Florence, Venice, Pisa, Verona, Mantua, Modena, and Milan are all within easy access. For those who enjoy water pursuits or a lazy day at the beach, the Mediterranean and the Adriatic coasts along with Lake Garda are just a couple of hours drive away.



Within a 12 km. radius the mountain villages of Castel d'Aiano, Montese, Tolu, Cereglio and Zocca will welcome you with traditional hospitality and mountain charm. The many restaurants and trattoria serve local produce and in the summer months you will be warmly welcomed at the many outdoor festivals.



For the sports enthusiast the area is ideal for biking, trekking, horse riding and walking. This area is also a paradise for extreme sports such as paragliding and hang gliding. During the winter months, in just an hour you can reach the fantastic ski resorts that the Bolognese and Modenese Apennines have to offer.
